Hello boho lovers! Do you love natural tones and flower crowns? Me too! I shoot many different styles of wedding but I especially love being a boho wedding photographer!
This DIY festival/boho style wedding was an absolute delight to be a part of! Held on the grooms family farm, Tia & Ben did a fabulous job of decorating the barn with festoon lights, having a gorgeous neutral palette in the marquee and creating a festival sign to go with their tipi accommodation.
Boho Styling
Styling a wedding can be a daunting task! What colour scheme do you go for? Will your ideas look right in your venue? How much styling do you actually need to do before going over the top? These are all questions you should be asking yourself when getting your ideas together. My personal preference is choosing a palette with lots of soft neutral tones, then adding one pop of colour, like a burnt orange or forest green. Alternatively you can go wild with colour and have a real bright and bold palette or a completely neutral palette, the choice is yours, there’s no right or wrong! It’s just deciding on one that’s the hard part right?!
Boho Florals
Dried flowers have become very popular recently when it comes to wedding florals, pampas and bunny tails are great boho staples. The great thing about them is they last! You can fill yours and your guests houses with them if you’re keeping them! If not, your florist may reuse them, a lot of couples are trying to be as eco friendly as possible. Tia & Ben had a great idea of using sprigs of rosemary for their place settings – simple yet so effective – the place settings looked gorgeous and also smelt great! If you’ve got a rosemary bush make the most of it! The same goes for lavender, holly etc – saving money and no plastic 🙂
The flower crown – a boho favourite! If I ever get married I would definitely opt for one. Get one created by your florist to match your other florals and bouquets. They can be made from fresh flowers or dried or a mixture! Tia’s florals are from The Little Flower Co in Frome, Somerset.
If you’re looking for a boho wedding photographer who really loves your vibe – get in touch! I’m always happy to help out with inspiration if you need a little advice. I have always loved styling whether it’s fashion, homeware or weddings! xxx
