As an Oxford engagement photographer I feel very privileged to live so close to this prestigious city, steeped in history and amazing architecture, Oxford has so much to offer in terms of backdrops! From cobbled streets to historical university buildings, to some pretty funky street art, this city has it all and then some!
I have known Tom since school and when I heard he was getting engaged to the wonderful Ellie, I knew they would be the perfect couple for this city engagement setting! Quirky and trendsetting, these two have always loved their fashion, and even though it was the coldest of January days they still managed to look on point! If you’re unsure of what to wear on your engagement shoot please let me know, I used to be a visual stylist and I still love fashion and styling!
It was a Sunday afternoon with grey skies and a wind to make your eyes water, but that didn’t deter us! We travelled through the gorgeous back streets of central Oxford where we found fabulous old doorways, eclectic street art, a delightful side street full of old red brick walls and even a bicycle on a wall!
Now I always thought I was very much a countryside girl (and I still am to a degree). However, doing a city centre shoot gave such a versatility of background and colour that this has become my favourite engagement shoot to date! I can’t wait to do more in this wonderful city, hopefully on a warmer day!!
