Generally people don’t get married to the same person, at the same venue, twice. However, in 2021 anything goes right?! Molly and Charlie had their official wedding ceremony at The Tudor Barn in Burnham the day before restrictions lifted in July, typical timing! So as not all of their loved ones could be there, they decided to do it all again a month later! Hence the term “deja vu” – same venue, same dress, same wonderful couple, just add a whole load of extra guests and minus a ceremony. A whole load of guests who were ready to party and celebrate properly!
I think Molly and Charlie would agree that second time round is a lot more relaxed. The bridal prep was filled with laughter just the way it should be. With having no ceremony we got plenty of time to go big on couple portraits, and these portraits are just gorgeous! We did fun, romantic, artsy and candid shots across a number of backdrops and having this time for your couples shots really does pay off. The photos speak for themselves! I know a lot of couples say they feel awkward in front of the camera, but if you give it a chance after a few minutes you will get right in to it! Trust me on that!
After the portraits it was group shots and drinks reception. My favourite person to capture during the drinks was definitely Molly’s nan! She went hard on the Prosecco and I’m pleased to say I caught the culprit on camera who had been refilling her glass haha. But hey, who doesn’t love a drunk nan? I know I do! Even if she did somehow think it was my fault she was drunk (not me, honest).
The speeches – emotional, funny and heartfelt – just the way they should be. I love capturing people’s emotions during the speeches, big laughs and a few tears and cuddles, perfect.
Now as I said earlier, these guys were ready to party. After a serious lack of partying the last 18 months, it was time to let loose and dance like no one was watching! I bloody love a good dance, you can normally find me bopping around deep in the dance floor getting all the shots you may not think you want…. trust me, you’ll love these, they always bring a laugh!
Molly and Charlie’s first dance was Elvis – Can’t help falling in love. For a young couple these guys were so mature, so in love and so supportive of each other. I felt so privileged to be part of their special day (round 2) and I wish them all the happiness for their future together, hopefully we’ll meet again one day!
Sound like a bit of you? Please get in touch here! (FYI it’s fine to just have one wedding day if you don’t fancy deja vu.)
