HYDE HOUSE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

Feb 27, 2024 | Weddings

Are you looking for a photographer for your Hyde House wedding? Look no further! You’ve found a Cotswolds wedding photographer with an editorial and documentary style, capturing your day as it unfolds.

Autumnal Florals

Emma and Luke opted for beautiful autumnal colours for their flowers with a palette of soft oranges, pinks and greens. The couple chose to have a statement arch framing the entrance to the ceremony room, which created a beautiful welcome for guests. Emma’s bouquet was wild and loose, filled with a lovely variation of soft tones. Adding bud vases to the table scape and tying in the cake with the same flowers. The florals were created by one of my favourite local florists – Rosy Lea Florist who I always recommend!

Outfits

Emma chose a striking embellished dress by Eliza Jane Howell with tassel detailing and a nod to the 1920s. Luke matched the look in black tie, which offset the dress perfectly. Bridesmaids wore green dresses but all chose their individual style, which is a big trend for 2024. Whilst groomsmen had matching green tweed suits, making the groom stand out.

Hyde House Venue

Situated on the edge of Stow-on-the-Wold, Hyde House has three spaces including the main house which is used for accommodation and groom prep, the ceremony barn and the grange barn. The grange barn holds the bridal prep area, bar and dining room for the reception. The ceremony barn has a large window bathing couples in plenty of natural light. There is a lovely landscaped garden area for couple portraits and the front of the house also offers a beautiful backdrop.

The Day

Emma and Luke’s day was filled with joy and happy tears. Their gorgeous dog River arrived during the drinks reception for some “family” portraits. Having portraits with your dog is a really important moment for many couples and as a dog lover, I’m totally here for it! Most dogs can get a bit overwhelmed attending a big wedding, so the best option is to have a dog sitter bring them along for an hour or so during the drinks reception so they can say hello and you can capture some moments with them.

In the evening we headed to the main house to do some fun bridal party and couple portraits. The library and copper bath tub in the honeymoon suite offer some great editorial indoor options for evening photos. There is often a bit of down time between the meal and first dance, so this is a great time to grab your team and have some fun shots!
